Interplast comes with Quang Ngai’s cleft lip and palate patients  (14/01/2010)
 

A 14-doctor team from Interplast on 11 January started its 12-day treatment and sugery free in charge for poor people with cleft lip and palate as well as burn scar contractures in Quang Ngai province, a source from Department of Foreign Affairs (DoFA) said.

Interplast is to implement 70 cases of surgeries after checking health for 250 patients. The donor will also assists USD 25 to each surgical patient under 16 years of age.

Since began operation in Quang Ngai in 2005, Interplast, the first international humanitarian organization to provide free reconstructive surgery in developing countries, primarily to children with cleft lip and palate and burn scar contractures, has so far provided reconstructive surgeries to over 200 children and medical screens to around 400 others.
