All meetings of ministers and senior officials, which are organized together with the Summits, will be opened in Hà Nội.

The Deputy PM assigned the Protocol Sub-committee to finalize detailed plans and promptly complete preparatory work, including training liaison officers.

Việt Nam’s Year of ASEAN Presidency 2010 will start with the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the Meeting on ASEAN Politics-Security Community and the ASEAN Steering Council Meeting, slated for January 13-14, 2010 in the central city of Đà Nẵng.

During its year of ASEAN chairmanship, Việt Nam will host many important events and activities, including the 16th ASEAN Summit (Hà Nội, April 2010); the 17th ASEAN Summit and related Summits (Hà Nội, October 2010).
