Dung Quat Refinery’s largest Unit; Residue Fluidized Catalytic Cracker (RFCC) starts production at 3 p.m on 24 June, Director of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Co., Ldt, Nguyen Hoai Giang said
PRCC, as designed, is to generate 75% of total fuel product of the 140,000-barrel-per-day Dung Quat plant.
In the PRCC Unit, Vietnam-refined-products of LPG and Gasoline type A 90 officially come on-stream on the same day, Director Giang said.
As planed, 144,000 cubic meters of autofuel shall be domestically marketed early July 2009.
Since put in operation on 22 Feb. 2009, Vietnam’s first 6.5 million-ton-crude-oil-per-year-Refinery expected to meet 30% of domestic consumption has turned out products of heavy diesel oil, light diesel oil, F.O, Kerosene, LPG and Gasoline type A 90.
The refinery is scheduled to be run at full capacity by August 2009 and planed to expand to 10 million tons by 2013 or 2014 - an increase of more than 50 percent.
