UNAIDS’s experts during the time presented some subjects of HIV knowledge in Viet Nam, and differentiation in preventing HIV/AIDS.

Some topics were also raised in the Workshops such as; HIV/AIDS prevention rule, the disease situation in Vietnam as well as care, treatment and providence, especially women with high risk of HIV infection.

As statistics revealed in the workshop, in 2006 4.3 million people in the world got the disease. In Vietnam, the effected one to March 2008 were over 132,000 of which 38,648 people were killed.

Quang Ngai found 36 HIV cases in 2003 , the number increased 44 in 2007 and by June 2008 253 cases have been found, of which 129 people are undergoing AIDS and 103 were killed
