The Contractor of Technip has just completed installation of the Vietnam’s first modern hi-teach fire prevention – protection system (FPPS) in Dung Quat Refinery, a source from Dung Quat Refinery Project Management Board said.
The FPPS is composed of two 3000 m3 water tanks, 200 taps, hundreds of temperature & poison gas-detectors, warning-bells, hand portable & trolley fire extinguishers and 20 km water pipeline with diameter of 100-400 mm running across with 26 main & sub-workshops in the Refinery.
Incase of burning, the 200 tap-system set up every corners inside and outside the Refinery will eject water, while two 3000 m3 water tanks have enough water for fire fighting during 10 hours.
As the source goes, FPPS has been equipped with hi-tech equipment imported from US and French to provide the best quality fire protection system for the Vietnam first Refinery.
