Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Xuan Hue has just signed decision to allocate VND 3 billion assisting farmers, facing a range of beasts killed by cold weather early the year 2008, a source from PPC office said.
The amount is to be distributed to some upland and island districts of Son Ha, Tu Nghia, Minh Long, Ba To, Tra Bong, Son Tay and Ly Son.
In accordance with the Decision, farmers are to granted from VND 400,000 to over VND 2 million for each dead animal.
As a source from Dept. of Agriculture and Rural Development goes, around 2000 animals throughout the province were killed by prolonged cold weather from 2nd January to 10th March 2008.
