It is the amount decided by Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Council in its 16th session to help building houses for the poor in the province.
Based on the approval, Quang Ngai PPC shall assist VND 20 million per house for the poor, who have devoted their life to the revolutionary cause and VND 10 million for each ethnic poor people.
As statistics from Dept. of Labour, Invalid and Social Affair (DoLISA) goes, in period of 2008-2011 over 13 thousand households need to be assisted, of which 2,543 policy households and 6,170 ethnic minorities.
Quang Ngai Government during 2006-07 has built over 16, 290 new houses for the poor, with total cost of VND 103.6 billion, Cao Ba Chien, Director of DoLISA said.
