A delegation from Vietnamese Environment Protection Agency (VEPA) has recently checked environment safety plans in Dung Quat Refinery site, a source from Dung Quat Refinery Project Management Board (DQRPM) said.

The delegation checked oil intake & transfer process of SPM before licensing operation certification, the Board said.

As released by DQRPM, the delegation specially focused on waste treatment systems as well as plans dealing with oil spill and requested the contractor to complete environment-protected constructions before the Refinery operation in Feb 2009.

Reportedly, the contractor of Technip completed dirty-refined-static electricity system; exhaust fumes intake chimney and 330m3-560m3 per hour-wastewater-treatment-system, while temperature insulated system and brimstone intake system have been kicked off.
