Tan Mai Paper Joint-Stock Company, the country’s second largest paper maker, has been studying an investment of a paper and pulp mill in Quang Ngai province.
In a working visit recently paid by the company to the province, Tan Mai revealed it may invest some VND 3,000 billion to build and run a paper and pulp mill with output capacity of 200,000 tons of paper and some 130,000 tons of pulp a year.
The proposed mill, also revealed by Tan Mai, would be installed with state of the art production line to be provided by the world’s leading technological equipment provider METSO, which should, in return, produce best quality products meeting North American Standards.
The construction of such a paper and pulp mill in Quang Ngai should take advantage of the available paper making materials which have been so far exported in the form wood chip and brought low export turnover.
