VND 472 bln for upgrading schools  (11/07/2008)

In period of 2006-2008, Quang Ngai Government has allocated VND 472 bln (US$29.5 mln) on building 2,224 classrooms in rural, remote upland and island communes throughout the province, said by Thai Van Dong, Director of Dept. of Education and Training.

 

The capital is also spent on constructing 537 houses for around 1,500 teachers, working in poor condition areas, Dong said.

 

Reportedly, this central province Government last period of 2003-06 upgraded 861 classrooms and 56 teacher houses with total cost of over VND 100 billion.
