Quang Ngai Statistical Department said the provincial consumer price index (CPI) hurricane showed noticeable signs of decline in its velocity in last June with just 1.87% up against that of 2.15% in the previous month of May.
The provincial accumulated CPI for the first 6 months has so far reached approximately 15%, the highest for many recent years.
The provincial statistical agency forecast CPI would keep slowing down in the rest months of the year. The tendency did indicate the positive effects brought about by the local government drastic efforts over the past months.
Quang Ngai like many other localities across Vietnam has been badly affected by the country’s economic slowdown with gallop inflation since early this year.
