A group of 29 medical doctors and professors from the US-based Palmer University (PU) is to pay a visit to a hospital in a Quang Ngai’s southern district which is named after a female doctor Dang Thuy Tram whose diary had become a media sensation in Vietnam some time earlier, a source from Department of Foreign Affairs said.
The US medical experts expect to share experieces with the said hospital’s medical staff in the field of medicare. As planned, they are also going to have cultural exchanges with the staff of Dang Thuy Tram Hospital.
In addition, the US doctors shall, during their visit on this 22 June 2008, donate the hospital 10 wheelchairs and 1,000 kg of rice for the poor patients.
