Quang Ngai-based Dung Quat Economic Zone has so far since the beginning of the year lured over 8000 billion dong (US$ 500 million) from 27 projects, a source from Dung Quat Economic Zone Authority said.
The newly-entered projects raise the total licensed & approved in principle projects in the zone up to 161 with total invested capital of over US$10 billion, of which 41 are under operation and 24 in development, creating 2,250 jobs for local labourers as well as contributing 213 billion dong to provincial budget.
Also according to the Authority, the space has early the year attracted range of leading enterprise delegations from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India and Singapore landing for seeking investment opportunities in the zone.
