Quang Ngai upland district of Son Ha in a bid to get well-prepared for the coming up rainy season has spent VND 90 million on buying 5 motorboats, 50 life-jakets for 5 district’s piers in communes of Son Ba, Son Nham, Son Thuy, Son Hai and Son Bao.
Some boatmen are also trained in navigational skills to ensure safety for both themselves and passengers.
As a source from Quang Ngai Dept. of Transportation, over 55 whafts throughout the province are unsafe operation, boating without certificates, life-jackets, traffic waterway knowledge.
