The two leading world banks of World Bank & Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) are to co-fund Da Nang-Quang Ngai Highway project with amount of $1billion, a source from the Ministry of Transportation said, VietStock quoted.
As the source goes, each sponsor will cover 50% cost of engineering design and construction.
The 133 km highway, which runs from Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai, is devided into two sections; Da Nang-Quang Nam sponsored by JBIC and Quang Nam –Quang Ngai financed by WB.
Last year, 11 domestic investors registered BOT investment; however they were failed because of poor finance, as revealed by the Ministry of Transportation.
