Quang Ngai on 19th May broke ground to build a 7.5m-wide & 56.3 km-long route of Song Truong-Tra Bong-Binh Long at a cost of 730 billion dong ($45.6 millio) sourced from the Government bonds.
The route, to connect Dung Quat Economic Zone with 8 communes of 3 upland districts; Tay Tra, Tra Bong and Binh Son, is a sub-project of Tra My-Tra Bong-Binh Long-Dung Quat with total length of 92 km and investment capital of 1.049bil ($70mil).
The 56.3 km section, once accomplished by 2010, will link Quang Ngai with Vietnam’s central highland provinces, opening chances and opportunities for socio-economic development in Quang Ngai’s upland districts.
