A source from Dung Quat Refinery PMB says Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) has decided to allocate some VND 40 billion to construct a safeguard fence to ensure security for the 7km-long pipeline that carry the refined oil and othet petroleum-based products from the refinery to the petroleum port.
The fence shall be constructed along the both sides of the pipeline, consisting of reinforced concrete piles, 2.5 m high, interconnected with metal net. A 7.5 km long lighting system shall also be intalled for security purpose.
The country’s first ever oil refinery of Dung Quat, now under accelerating construction, is scheduled to be operational by February 2009.
