VND 57.752 billion is the amount committed by International Non-Government Organizations (INGOs) for Quang Ngai Province centering on sustainable socio-economic development in some difficult communes throughout the province in the first 9 months of the year 2007.
Aside from the Sanitation Hygiene and Water Improvement Project (SHWIP) and Reducing Flood and Storm Vulnerability Project of two large organizations of Plan and World Vision whose offices are based in Quang Ngai City and other regularly working organizations, poor people have also received assistance in-kind from Australian Consulate-General, UniReach International & Kids Around the World Association, ADRA, Samaritan’s Purse International Relief, Giving it Back to Kids, etc.
By its efforts to call further cooperation and assistance from INGOs, Quang Ngai Department of Foreign Affairs has invited some potential organizations such as Foundation for International Development/Relief, Mines Advisory Group, Oxfam Great Britain to the province for potential cooperation in the upcoming time.
