Bulk of 1,500 tons of super weighted & hyper lengthened equipment made from Korea and Japan, which was delivered to Dung Quat Port on 13 July by a Holland vessel (Happy Buccaneer) has yesterday, 17 July has successfully been transported to the Refinery site by ALE Company.
The 19 types of package includes heat-recovery steam generator, high pressure separator, input vessel, ect., of which the biggest item ever imported is Main Fractionator with 546.8 ton, 68,28 m long, 9 m high and 8,73 m wide under Unit No.15 of Cracking Workshop, the most important workshop of Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
Reportedly, more super weighted & hyper lengthened equipment, of which the largest item is up to 1, 600 tons are projected to be delivered to Dung Quat by August 2007.
According to Tran Le Trung, Head of Dung Quat Economic Zone Authority, they are making efforts in preparing safety line to welcome and transport increasing heavy equipment for the upcoming time.
The aforementioned bulk is said to have bee
n the 10th bulk of oversized & indivisible equipment, driving the total imported structures for the sake of the Oil Refinery construction up to 65,000 tons, a source from Dung Quat Refinery Project Management Board said.
As the source goes, EPC1+4 & 2+3 are now in the 25th of 44 months. The General Contractor of Technip Consortium has to date completed 75% of procurement, 95 % of design work and 25 % of construction. The contractor has also mobilized to the site over 10,000 workers, experts, engineers as well as a great deal of machineries, equipment sufficient to push the construction on schedule by February 2009.
