Upland areas TV services (25/01/2007)

 

Recently Quang Ngai Relay Station (QNRS) has officially broadcasted TV signals to mountainous district of Minh Long throughout Fiber cable network, a source form QNRS said.

With speed of up to 2 Mb per second, fiber cables will convey three times a day. Hrê, Cor ethnic groups could enjoy 3 channels of Vietnam Television (VTV), Quang Ngai Television (PTQ) and Hrê, Cor programs.

 

“Quang Ngai, is so far the fist Province in Viet Nam transmits TV signals to mountainous districts though Tele-communication cables. This is an efficient and effective method to timely update people in remote areas with provincial and national socio-economic context as well as international news, ” said QNRN Director Pham Ngoc Trach.

 

As added by Pham Ngoc Trach, similar network is scheduled to be made available in other five upland districts of Ba To, Son Ha, Tra Bong, Tay Tra and Duc Pho late this year.
