US President George W. Bush will visit Vietnam to attend the Nov. 18-19 annual summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Hanoi, the White House said Monday.

Bush will also travel to Singapore and Indonesia during his trip, the White House said in a statement.

In Vietnam, Bush will hold meetings with President Nguyen Minh Triet and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Nov. 17 in Hanoi, and will also visit Ho Chi Minh City.

"At APEC, the president looks forward to continuing his robust dialogue with APEC leaders on ways to ensure the continued prosperity of the Asia-Pacific region," the White House said.
