The name of Tung rivulet originates from the fact that there is a current of Truyen Tung stream flowing in the North – South direction, slanting towards the East before pouring into Ba abyss (Ba Xi abyss) and then incorporating into Chu Tu river (Tra Bong river)

The stream flows from the mountainous creek, and crosses a large rock and pours into the deep Ba abyss, creating a fall with white spume like smokes, which was called “Flying Stream” by the people in living in the old days.

Along the stream, we can catch sight of many large rock smoothed by the water. Some of them are large and flat like a ground, called “Trang Bang”. The further area is called “Deer Water” (Nuoc Nai) where many deers often concentrate for drinking water in summer.

Previously, the stream was a dark and mountainous area with many big trees which many people could not embrace. Also, it was believed that this place was the private and sacred place of Ba so noone dared to come here.

Nowadays, despite many changes, Truyen Tung stream at Ba abyss still keeps its beauty of mountain and river with deep blue smokes, moss – covered stones and white spume. The sounds of the stream running, birds singing at the early mornings attracting many people and the big trees hiding many legends about “Ba” – mother of the forest and a lot of its animals have no longer existed due to human hunting, making it gradually forgotten. As a result, it is needed to protect and recover the forest floors so that its records in the Dai nam nhat thong chi at the Nguyen dynasty are able to be remained.
