- Two students granted Tran Van On scholarship:
The two students, Tran Vuong Uyen Phuong and Nguyen Dinh Tuan at the Quang Ngai Medical College and the Mechanical Worker College no. 2 respectively, were granted Tran Van On scholarships. Coordinated between the Central Ho Chi Minh Youth Union and Prudential Insurance Company, these scholarships are granted for not only the students with their excellent results in the Youth Union and social activities and their study at the vocational colleges but also those with special feats in the national and social security protection movement, courageously human and the state properties saving. A sum money of 500,000 VND was included in every scholarship.
- East Meets West Foundation granted scholarships for Binh Son poor pupils :
With an aim to encouraging their spirit before the new school – year, the East Meets West Foundation has recently granted 100 scholarships for the 3rd – 5th grades poor and specially difficult pupils at Binh Chanh, Binh An, Binh Dong communes of Binh Son district. Each scholarship included a sum of money of 500,000 VND, 02 clothes, books, a school bag, and one – year medical insurance. Those receiving these scholarships will be granted the annual ones until they finish their high school education by the EMWF educational supporting programs. Other 220 scholarships were also granted for 220 poor pupils at Son Tinh and Minh Long districts. It is known that this is the first time this foundation has granted scholarships for the Quang Ngai poor pupils.
