The Office of the Quang Ngai People’s Committee recently organized a gathering on the occasion of the “Anniversary of State Administrative Offices and Authorities” and the third competition of the Office of the Quang Ngai People’s Committee. Mr. Nguyen Kim Hieu, Vice Chairman of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee attended and addressed.
In order to promote the role and tradition of the state administrative offices and their civil servants, on 22 July 2004, the Prime Minister decreed the Decision no. 828/QĐ-TTg in which 28 of August is chosen as the annual “Anniversary of the State Administrative Offices and Authorities”.
Under the guidance of the Prime Minister and the Government Office about organizing the anniversary economically, practically and effectively, in this year, the Office of the Quang Ngai People’s Committee coordinated with the Office of the Quang Ngai People’s Council to hold the gathering with leaders and officers of the People’s Council and the People’s Committee at the provincial and district and commune level. At this gathering, they reviewed revolutionary traditions of the country, and recalled valuable experiences involved in office work for over the past half century, and educated the present officers about their tradition, responsibility and enthusiasm in order to fulfil their task.
For the past 59 years, with the national development, the Offices of the Quang Ngai People’s Committee and People’s Council have greatly developped thank to the Party’s and government‘s leadership and guidance.
The Office of the Quang Ngai People’s Council has well conducted its 2004 assignments, instructed and organized summary ceremony on activities of the People’s Council and People’s Committee in 1999 – 2004 period, and consulted the Permanent People’s Council to successfully organize the 2004 – 2009 three – level 
People’s Council election, the 14th session of the 9th and two sessions of the 10th session of the People’s Council, and consulted the People’s Council to decree the Resolution on 2004 socio – economic development assignments and other important issues. The Office of the People’s Council has also ensured supervising activities, meetings with people and voters and other tasks of the Permanent People’s Council and its boards, representative teams and the People’s Council’s representatives.
Since September 2003, the Office of the People’s Committee has attached special importance to consultant work. It consulted the People’s Committee to decree the 2004 assignments on socio – economic development, and concentrated on Resolutions of the Central Government and the provincial Party’s Committee and People’s Council’s, and proposed suggestions for implementing the Quang Ngai 15th Party’s Resolution, major programs and projects, planning and planning management, investment, fundamental construction, and internal affairs. It has also coordinated with other departments to consult the People’s Committee to decree 10 policies and 6 plans; effectively carried out the “one door” policy, and created favorable conditions for individuals and organizations to supervise implementation of the PPC’s policies, decisions, and instructions; gradually promoted effectiveness and alterations in terms of life and production, contributing to the successful implementation of its socio – economic taks.
The integration into the world economy has been a chance and a challenge for Quang Ngai Province. Because of its slow start, Quang Ngai has many things to be done and thought in order to get rid of its poorness and backwardness, and transfer its economic structure through increasing industrial and services sectors. The officers and civil servants in Quang Ngai should base on their work effectiveness to evaluate their assignments’ completion and love to their country. They should also suggest methods freeing manual production and carrying gradation according the Government guidance.
At the third competition of the Office of the Quang Ngai People’s Committee, more than 130 participants from 10 Office of People’s Committee of districts and 
communes took part in. The first, second and third ranks were the Office of the Quang Ngai People’s Committee, the Office of the People’s Committee of Nghia Hanh district and the Office of the People’s Committee of Minh Long district. This competition was excitingly and successfully happened and the Office of the People’s Committee of Nghia Hanh was chosen as the 2005 competition organizer.
Officers and civil servants of the Office of the People’s Committee at the province, district and commune level have reveiced many favorable conditions for promoting their creativeness in their work and life. It is strongly believed that through solidarity and creativeness the Office of the Quang Ngai People’s Committee will successfully fulfil their political assignments.
