
VVAF supports peoples with disabilities in Quang Ngai
“Dioxin Resolution Initiative for Vietnam”(DRIVE) program implemented by Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation(VVAF) is to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities (PWD), especially those allegedly affected by agent orange. The program includes physical rehabilitation, vocational training and financial support to PWD households to improve their income.
In Quang Ngai, VVAF is implementing the pilot DRIVE program including three components of build or repair houses for families of PWDs, particularly those allegedly affected by dioxin whose houses are extremely in bad condition, financial support to families of PWDs to help them generate income and provide surgery and rehabilitation service for children with disability (under 16 years old) with total expense of 250 million VND.
