Said a source of DoFA, from
the capital source of the United States Agency for International Development (USAIDS),
the American Red Cross through Save the Children has pledged to fund the project of building
resilience to natural hazards in Central Vietnam - Phase 3 in
Quang Ngai province.
The project has total capital
of nearly VND 5 billion. The project will be implemented in Binh Minh commune,
Binh Son district and Quang Phu ward, Quang Ngai City in the period of 2019 –
aims at improving the resilience of vulnerable households, students and
local authorities towards natural
hazards by integrating measures into socio-economic development plans.
The project is managed by the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster
Prevention and Control (DPC) and Search and Rescue (SAR). Currently, the
Provincial Steering Committee for DPC and SAR is coordinating with the
Department of Foreign Affairs and relevant functional agencies to implement the
process of receiving the project as soon as possible.
